The flyer is a reminder for people who already decided. It is not a reason for anyone else to care. Marketing an event is the work of building that reason over several weeks.
Six weeks out: establish who it is for
Post about the subject, not the event. If it is a comedy night, post comedy. If it is a business summit, post the argument the summit is about. You are recruiting an audience that cares about the topic before you ask them for money.
Four weeks out: show the people
Faces outperform graphics consistently. The acts, the speakers, the host, the crew. Short clips of them talking directly to camera about why they are doing this.
Reels for reach, stories for conversion
Reels bring people who have never heard of you. Stories convert the people already following. Use them for different jobs and stop expecting one to do both.
Two weeks out: proof
Photographs from last time, testimonials, screenshots of people asking when tickets drop. Social proof does more for a hesitant buyer than any amount of describing the event.
Final week: scarcity, honestly
Tiers closing, sections selling out, the actual number remaining if it is low. Manufactured urgency is transparent and it costs you trust you will need for the next event.
Put the link everywhere
Bio, story sticker, every caption, pinned comment. The most common reason a motivated person does not buy is that they could not immediately find where to.
